Protein Pumpkin Pancakes

It is never too late (or too early) for pumpkin flavored everything so protein pumpkin pancakes in the middle of March it is.

Here is what you will need:
-1/4 cup canned pumpkin
-1 scoop vanilla protein powder
-5 tablespoons egg whites
-1 teaspoon baking powder
-ground cinnamon
-pumpkin pie spice

1. Combine everything in a small bowl

2. Cook like normal pancakes

Makes 9-10 mini pancakes

  1. I personally have not experimented with casein, but I think it should work. You may have to add/adjust the liquid to make sure everything is combined. As for protein, it really depends on your goals, activity levels, and body type. Most people consume way more protein than needed. According to the Dietary Reference Intake, the average person only requires .8 grams of protein per kg body weight or .36 per pound of body weight.
